Many thanks to all that attended the N.P.T.S.A. Social and AGM’s at Tiffany’s in Blackpool. It was lovely to meet up with friends and colleagues after the lockdown and Covid 19 restrictions.
All sports sections staged their annual meetings and plans are now securely in place for the forthcoming years events. All events and entry details will be posted on the Website Calendar.
The Association AGM went through all our related business with a positive view to continue in our current format, changes in the industry may dictate changes in our future funding but we remain financially viable although having had to dip into our reserves during the pandemic. It was decided to return to Tiffany’s Blackpool in March 2023 and details will be published here as soon as arrangements have been made.
Indoor Games will also be staging their Tournament at Tiffany’s in November of this year and there is a strong possibility that one of our other sections will be moving here as well.
The Quiz section has decided that it would continue its future by integrating with our Indoor Games although they wish to stage some further independent events. Many thanks to their long serving Secretary Norman Board for all his hard work and input to the Association.
Another change was for my Vice Chairman Lewis Brown who for health reasons has decided to resign and lighten his workload, he will still continue and extend his work as the Secretary of Ten Pin Bowling (our longest serving official). The Association expressed thanks to Lewis for his long and diligent service. His place as Vice Chairman will be taken by Gary Willets who was duly elected at the AGM.
The weekend at Blackpool was extremely successful, good company good food in an excellent venue with superb entertainment.
Thanks for everyone’s support throughout the troubled times, with you and the loyalty of our sponsors we will continue to flourish.
Best regards to you all from myself and members of the Management Board/Sports Council. Have a good year both on and off the field of play
Yours in Sport
