Our 4th year at Altrincham for the Team Event saw a two teams drop out at the last minute due ro injuries but nevertheless we enjoyed a good competition.

We began with the handicap event which saw Sheffield come out on top yet again with 2405 pins ahead of Bradford on 2331. Leeds took 3rd with 2279 pins After a short break it was on to the scratch event and once again the honours went to Sheffield with 2456 pins again beating Bradford into 2nd place by  massive 428 pins , Leeds finished 3rd on 1961 pins .

It was no surprise that is was Sheffield who collected the overall trophy totalling 4861 pins from Bradford with 4359 with Leeds a further 262 pins behind in 3rd. This is the 4th year that Sheffield have dominating this event taking all trophies on offer.

The Overall Individual scratch trophy went to Tom Gardiner of Sheffield with a total of 1354 .The Ladies Individual scratch trophy was won by debutante  Lacey White of East Yorkshire B with 1075 ending an 8 year dominance by Sue Szlavik of Leeds

An excellent competition enjoyed by all.We now look forward to the Trios at Mansfield on a date to be arranged . A further date for the diary is 15th & 16th May when we will be again at Shipley for the Singles and Doubles. Whilst we return to Altrincham on 3rd October for another Team Event.
