Our 3rd year at Altrincham for the Team Event saw an the number of entries the same as last year but we did welcome some new faces.

 The competition began with the handicap event which saw Sheffield come out on top yet again with 2598 pins ahead of  Bradford on 2353. Manchester A took 3^rd with 2297 pins.However the highlight of the morning was a perfect 300 game rolled by Paul Simpson of Sheffield, just our 3^rd such achievement since we began some 51 years  and over 200 tournaments ago. After a short break it was on to the scratch event and once again the honours went to Sheffield with 2315 pins  again beating Bradford into 2^nd place by 141 pins , Leeds  finished 3^rd on 2162 pins .

It was no surprise that is was Sheffield who collected the overall trophy totalling 4913 pins from Bradford with  4527 with Manchester A  a further 194 pins behind in 3rd. The 3rd year that Sheffield have dominating this event taking all trophies on offer.

The Overall Individual scratch trophy went to Tom Gardiner of Sheffield with a total of 1325 whilst Paul Simpson also of Sheffield was top handicap with 703.The Ladies Individual scratch trophy,  was retained by Sue Szlavik of Leeds with 919  whilst Sandra Tyler of East Yorkshire won handicap on 614 pins.

An excellent competition enjoyed by all.We now look forward  to the Trios at Mansfield  on 28^thFebruary and 1^st March 2026 when early indication are that we should see a better entry. A further date for the diary is 16^th & 17^th May when we will be again at Shipley for the Singles and Doubles.
