We returned to Shipley for this years Singles and Doubles and again we had a reasonable entry.

The competition began with the doubles event which saw Ferenc and Sue Szlavik from Leeds dominate with a handicap score of 1685 which was 138 pins ahead Andy Eeles and Rob Tulloch of East Yorkshire. Sues scratch score of 841 gave her an average of 210. The scratch went to Mark and Paul Simpson of Sheffield with 1476 with Trevor and Brian Dixon from Bradford  runners up on 1407.

Sunday saw the Singles event and after a few problems with the lanes the Handicap went to Jim Lumb of Leeds on 886 ahead of Andy Eeles.East Yorkshire with 729. Scratch saw Sue Szlavik take top spot with 770 ahead of Andy Parker of East Yorkshire on 724.The ladies singles handicap unsurprisingly went to Sue Szlavik on 878 in front of Karen Day from Brummies with 720. scratch was taken by Sam Shenton of Brummies 522 aheas of her team mate Sharon Reynolds 496,

It was no surprise that Ladies overall handicap went to Sue Szlavik with a total of 1827 ahead of Karen Day on 1453, Scratch was won by Gel Lumb of Leeds on 1067 in ftont of  Baebara Lusher ftom Black Country on 1035.

Finally we had the total overall with the  handicap going to Sue Szlavik 1827 beating Jim Lumb with 1687. Sratch was taken by Andy Parker with 1460 just 22 pins in front of Trevor Dixon on 1438.

Another successful event and we will be returning to the same venue on 15th & 16^th May in 2027. Meanwhile we look forward to the 4 manTeam Event at Altricham on 4^th October.
